Question 1

Accepted Answer

정답: ④ I don't know the way how he solved the problem.. 'the way'와 'how'는 함께 쓸 수 없습니다. 'the way he solved' 또는 'how he solved'로 써야 하므로 'I don't know the way how he solved the problem.'

Question 2

Accepted Answer

I don't like the way which he treats his employees.. 선행사가 'the way'일 때 관계부사 'how'는 함께 사용할 수 없습니다. 따라서 'the way' 뒤에는 관계대명사 'that'을 쓰거나 'in which'를 사용해야 하며, 관계대명사를 생략할 수도 있습니다. 제시된 문장 중 'I don't like the way which he treats his employees.'

Question 3

Accepted Answer

Do you know the way how she solved the problem?. 관계부사 'how'는 선행사 'the way'와 함께 쓸 수 없습니다. 'how' 단독으로 쓰거나 'the way'만 쓰거나 'the way in which'로 써야 합니다. 따라서 'the way how'는 어법상 어색합니다.

Question 4

"Tell me (A) you manage to stay so calm."

Accepted Answer

정답: the way. 빈칸 뒤에 완전한 문장이 오고, 'manage to stay so calm'은 '그렇게 침착함을 유지하는 방법'을 의미하므로, 방법을 나타내는 관계부사 'how' 또는 'the way'가 와야 합니다. 'the way'와 'how'는 함께 쓸 수 없으므로, 'the way'만 단독으로 쓰인 선택지가 정답입니다.

Question 5

"I wonder (A) he managed to finish the project on time."

Accepted Answer

정답: how. 'the way'와 'how'는 함께 사용할 수 없습니다.

Question 6

Accepted Answer

That's the way how she solved the difficult problem.. 관계부사 how는 선행사 'the way'와 함께 쓰일 수 없습니다. 둘 중 하나만 사용해야 하므로 'That's the way she solved the problem.' 또는 'That's how she solved the problem.'

Question 7

Accepted Answer

Tell me the way which you learned English so fast.. 여기서는 'the way'만 쓰거나 'how'만 쓰거나, 'the way in which' 또는 'the way that'으로 써야 합니다.

Question 8

Accepted Answer

Tell me the way how you made this cake.. 'Tell me the way how you made this cake.' 'the way' 또는 'how' 중 하나만 사용하거나, 'the way in which'로 표현해야 합니다.

Question 9

Accepted Answer

Can you tell me the way how to get there?. 'the way'와 관계부사 'how'는 함께 사용할 수 없습니다. 둘 중 하나만 사용해야 하므로, 'Can you tell me the way to get there?' 또는 'Can you tell me how to get there?'

Question 10

Accepted Answer

Tell me the way how they perceived the phenomenon.. 관계부사 'how'와 선행사 'the way'는 함께 사용할 수 없습니다. 따라서 'the way how'는 중복 표현으로 틀린 문장입니다. 'the way'만 쓰거나 'how'만 써야 하며, 'the way in which' 형태로 고쳐야 올바른 문장이 됩니다.

Question 11

"A: This is how I learn. B: This is the way I learn. C: This is the way how I learn."

Accepted Answer

Question 12

Accepted Answer

Please show me the way how to improve the efficiency.. 문장 'Please show me the way how to improve the efficiency.' 따라서 'the way to improve' 혹은 'how to improve'로 수정해야 합니다.

Question 13

"The journalist investigated ______ the local government allocated the budget."

Accepted Answer

정답: the way in which. 따라서 'the way in which'가 올바른 표현입니다.

Question 14

"I like _________ you decorate your room."

Accepted Answer

정답: the way how. the way와 how는 함께 쓸 수 없습니다.

Question 15

(This is how the ecosystem functions.)

Accepted Answer

This is the way in which the ecosystem functions.. 관계부사 'how'는 'the way'와 함께 사용할 수 없으므로, 'the way' 뒤에 'in which'를 사용하여 관계부사절을 이끌어야 합니다. 따라서 'This is the way in which the ecosystem functions.'

Question 16

I don't like the way how he talks.
I don't like how he talks.
I don't like the way in which he talks."

Accepted Answer

B: This is the way in which the organization operates.

Accepted Answer

정답: A, B. A는 'how'만 사용했으므로 올바릅니다. B는 'the way in which'를 사용했으므로 올바릅니다. C는 'the way how'를 함께 사용했으므로 어법상 틀린 문장입니다.
